A few years ago, as an exercise, I tried using only transparent colours, in order to see what could be achieved by allowing an uninterrupted passage of light on a sheet of paper.
Working on an image that I had used in one of my abstract oil paintings, I alternated four basic colours: cyan, magenta, yellow and violet (instead of black).
I put the prints in a drawer and forgot about them until last summer, when I looked at them again and started to add finishing touches by printing additional colours.
From the reactions of my friends it seems that the 14 screen prints (40.5 x 40.5 cm) have been saved from oblivion.
